Federation Artisan Chocolate is a Tasmanian institution, crafting delicious and ethical chocolate in the Coal River Valley is Southern Tasmania.

Terms and Conditions
By making a booking with Federation Chocolate Tas Pty LTD you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions: Conditions of Booking and Travel You must read these terms and conditions prior to making your booking. These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Waiver, which together form the whole of your agreement with us. We will endeavour to provide you with the experience you book. However, we reserve the right to amend or alter from time to time any experiences as we deem to be necessary. If in the course of our providing you with experience, the itinerary or experience has to be altered or amended due to circumstances outside our control, e.g. bushfire, typhoon, other inclement weather etc, no refund shall be made to you. We will only make changes to the itinerary or experience booked when absolutely necessary and where it is required to do so to ensure the safety of participants or the situation is outside our control. In circumstances where minimum numbers are not reached we may offer you an alternative experience or refund your booking. Prices All prices quoted by us are: per person (unless otherwise stated); in Australian dollars; and subject to change at our discretion. All bookings are to be made via the online payment platforms as part of the booking process and may incur an additional 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fee for the booking transaction. Liability We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damage, injury, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any kind, which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission of any third party (including without limitation, any act, omission or breach of contract of any third party which supplies any goods or services for your experience). We are not liable for any injury, death, loss or expense due to sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God, Government action, acts of terrorism, criminal activity, war, quarantine, any other force majeure events or any other cause beyond our control. All losses or expense you may incur from such risks eventuating must be borne by you. In the event that any legal action, arbitration, or other proceeding arises with respect to enforcing, interpreting or construing these terms and conditions, or concerning any grievance relating to the booking, the party who prevails shall be entitled to recover its reasonable legal fees and expenses on a solicitor/client basis. At times you will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to undertaking any tour or experience with us as such when experiences involve a higher than the normal risk associated with mainstream holiday tours and experiences. Cancellation Policy Our experiences involve meticulous and extensive organisation and once a booking has been made you will incur cancellations fees as set out in the schedule below: Cancellation Policy – Cancellation time frame Cancellation fee (being a % of the price) Cancellations within 7 days of the tour or experience. 100% cancellation fee Cancellations made 8-14 days prior to the tour or experience. 50% cancellation fee Cancellations made over 15 days prior to the tour or experience. Full refund minus 15% admin fee + booking/transaction fee. Failure to attend a tour or experience (No Show) 100% cancellation fee. You will not be refunded for the booking fee or any transaction fees incurred. Cancellation by Us In the event we are required to cancel a tour or experience prior to commencement due to inclement weather, terrorism, natural disasters, civil disorder or disturbance or other external events which make it impractical or unviable, in our sole opinion, for us to operate the tour or experience, you will be entitled to a full refund less any transaction fees and unrecoverable costs or a credit towards another tour or experience that we offer. We are not liable for any incidental losses incurred by you as a result of our cancellation of a tour or experience. Other Conditions You consent to our taking photographs, video recordings and/or film footage of you while you are on your tour or experience and that these may be used on our social media pages, and/or advertising or publicity material or other online platforms without obtaining any further consent from you or payment to you in respect of such photographs, video recordings and/or films. In the event there is a dispute with respect to your booking or experience, the matter will be governed by the law of the State of Western Australia and resolved in the courts of Western Australia.

Federation Chocolate Tas Pty LTD is committed to protecting and maintaining the privacy, accuracy and security of your personal information.We will abide by the National Privacy Principles (“NPPs”) as included in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The NPPs set out how organisations should collect, use, keep secure and disclose personal information. The NPPs also give individuals a right to know what information an organisation holds about them and a right to correct that information, where appropriate. What information do we collect and hold : We only collect information relevant to our business relationship with you.We will, where reasonable and practicable, collect your personal information from you directly. Where we collect your personal information from a third party we will advise you of this fact.The information we collect from your booking form will include your full name, date of birth and contact details. How we use your personal information: We shall limit the use of your personal information to:processing your booking with us;fulfilling our legal requirements, for example, disclosure to law enforcement agencies or the courts.We may use your personal information to offer you products and services that we believe may meet your needs through direct marketing activities. However, you may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers and we will remove your details from the database. Who will use your personal information?: We will not provide, share, sell or trade your personal information to or with any person outside of us or a related entity without first obtaining your consent. For example, we might ask you to consent to us providing your information to another entity that provides or sells goods or services which we believe may benefit or be of interest to you. We may, without obtaining your consent, provide your personal information to:(a) legal representatives engaged by us to provide legal advice or prepare written documentation in relation to your membership;(b) our insurers for the purposes of obtaining a contract of insurance, renewing a contract of insurance or assessing or processing any insurance claim made by us;(c) law enforcement agencies or the courts for the purpose of investigating or prosecuting any criminal offence; or(d) any other person or entity if we are required to by law.We may provide your personal information to any person or entity if we have your express or implied consent. Storage of your personal information: The information collected by us is stored in our written and computer-generated records. All information is secured. Only authorised personnel have access to your personal information. Access to and correction of your personal information: On request by you, we will take reasonable steps to let you know what personal information we hold and for what purposes, we will also let you know how we collect, hold, use and disclose that information. If such a request is made, we will endeavour to provide you with such access within a reasonable time. However, we are not obliged to provide you with access to your personal information in all cases and we reserve our rights to refuse such access if permitted to do so by the NPPs.
